Better late than never.

I have returned!

After spending 2.5 weeks in Europe, I am back in the US. I am already missing the daily run around to new cities, but not the hassle of flights. Hoping to post soon about my adventures!

In the meantime, you know what day it is:

Murder Monday.

On my first day back to work, a coworker suggested a new show for me to check out on the Netflix:

Evil Genius.

I am currently 3/4 if the way through it and am captivated. What goes through peoples minds never ceases to amaze and baffle me. What would promote you to commit a murder?

Jealousy?

Revenge?

This tale is a true story about a bank heist that ended in the uncovering of other crimes and murders. Sometimes it’s not as cut and dry and you hope it to be. I cannot even imagine what the agents and family members had to go through while this whole story was unraveling.

It starts and revolves around a couple, their past together and a bank heist with a homemade bomb. A pizza delivery man has his life ended when a collar bomb is put around his neck during a routine pizza delivery. They sent him on a scavenger hunt to find the keys to get the bomb collar off and gave him instructions to rob a bank along the way. Sadly for him, he was pulled over by police force and the bomb went off before he had a chance to finish his search for the proper key combination to remove the device. It is truly terrifying that someone was able to create that at home and use it so easily. And that isn’t even the whole story!

The main couple in question both seem to have a history of mental illness and manipulation. It really makes you wonder if and how things could have been different had they gotten help earlier or any other of the many “what if…?” options are out there.

What if they never met?

What if they had gotten married?

It seems like some kind of lofty horror movie situation and knowing it actually happened is quite haunting. I do not think anyone should have a fear of doing their everyday job and I hope people that need help have the ability to receive it.

Have you watched this? Any thoughts on it?
