New Mini-series Monday!

Phew!

What a stressful last couple of weeks. I was out of commission due to a family emergency as well as getting sick on top of that, but that didn’t stop me from starting a new series over this past weekend.

I kept seeing a trailer on Netflix (or more so they kept reminding me that they had a show coming out that seemed to fit my interests) called Requiem. Let me tell you: Netflix was right! Just up my alley!

The first few minutes alone will make you yearn to know more! And do not even get me started on the soundtrack and the intro reel: both are stunning, eerie and completely make this a whole. I cannot get over the subtlety and beauty of this intro! See the hint of a cello and the outstretching of the tree branches:

The cinematography is also stunning. Who wouldn’t want to live with these kinds of gardens and topiary-type landscapes in their very own backyard:

But also, the mysterious old house that has abandoned rooms that is full of questions and secrets? What about there? Would you want to dive right into the past all at once in the hopes of recovering what is lost? But what if what is lost are just old memories trying to resurface? Do you really care to know the answers?

What answers lie here?

Buried deep within the floorboards…

There’s only one way to gain any of those answers: watch it!

Sadly, it is only six episodes – and I am already halfway through them. I tried to space them out so that I would be able to enjoy it over an extended period of time, but have found myself watching one episode per day. Perhaps it being shorter is a good thing for holding ones attention, but what if not all of your questions are answered by the end?

What really happened to Carys?

Put on your pjs, grab a hot mug of tea and join me while I continue, and will soon finish, watching Netflix’s new series Requiem.
